2. What is it all about?

The Purple meets Green program offers Smartleasing customers the choice to reduce the environmental impact of their car travel. Around 5,000 cars are leased by our customers every year – and this fairly high volume of vehicles will generate carbon emissions that damage the environment.

It is our responsibility to minimise that damage – that’s why we’ve partnered with not-for-profit organisation Greenfleet to help offset carbon emissions generated by vehicles leased through Smartleasing.

A fortnightly pre-tax donation of $2.42 will help offset the carbon emissions generated when you drive your leased car. Our carbon offset program is available to you for as long as you salary package your car with Smartleasing. Greenfleet will plant 21 native trees for each annual donation. This will offset your vehicle's carbon emissions by an average of 5.6 tonnes per year.
